John Coleman, meteorologist and co-founder of the Weather Channel recently appeared on Fox News to reiterate his belief that man-made climate change is not only not happening, but those who claim the contrary are doing so based on "bad science."

Coleman also pointed out that so-called climate skeptics, or those who are not convinced that any significant warming in the Earth's atmosphere or oceans is taking place, are persecuted in the scientific community and are rarely even allowed to speak on the issue without being ridiculed.
Coleman told Fox News' Megyn Kelly that, "it's a tough go for people who don't believe in climate change," and that "a climate skeptic can rarely get on TV ever since Al Gore made it a plank of the Democratic Party."
This month Coleman, a former Broadcast Meteorologist of the Year award winner, just this month penned an open letter announcing that he believes the science behind climate change put forth by the media and the larger scientific community to be "not valid."
According to Coleman: "There is no significant man-made global warming at this time." All this comes just days before the 2014 Mid-Term elections during which climate change is expected to be a huge issue for many Americans.
During the interview, Kelly points out that even conservative Republicans, like Jon Huntsman Jr., have stated their belief in climate change, and Huntsman himself has referred to those who don't believe in the science as "nuts."
Coleman largely blamed the news media for perpetuating the so-called 'bad science' over the past several decades.
It's very difficult for anybody to be against it, because the media has told the nation over and over again, day after day for 20 years that the oceans are rising, the polar bears are dying, the ice is melting, that storms are going to sweep the earth and that we're all going to die of a heat wave...this is an incredible, bad, bad science."
