Scientists analysed computer  simulations  for changes in temperature First signs seen in the 1940s in parts of Australia, south Asia and Africa This is because these regions generally exhibited a narrow range of temperatures, making it easier to spot a trend of warming  By  SARAH GRIFFITHS FOR MAILONLINE PUBLISHED:  11:10 GMT, 23 September 2015  |  UPDATED:  16:48 GMT, 23 September 2015           277 shares 239 View comments This year is tipped to be the hottest on record as global temperatures continue to soar. Now researchers have revealed for the first time when and where signs of this global warming first appeared in the past, by analysing new computer simulations of the climate over more than a century.
